Dec 1 :: Why Jesus Celebrated Hanukkah

Christmas at Shores begins on Wednesday, December 1 at 6:30pm with a special presentation by Dr. David Sedaca, a Jewish believer in Jesus and Vice President of Chosen People Ministries, about why Jesus celebrated Hanukkah. Deepen your understanding about the Jewish roots of our Christian faith. Then, stick around after the one-hour, mid-week worship service for a sweet Hannukah dessert. Shores Kids enjoy their own presentation with dreidel games.

Dec 4 :: Busch Gardens Christmas Town for Students

Middle and high school age students are invited to join us for a visit to Busch Garden Christmas Town, on Saturday, December 4 from 11:30am to 10:00pm. Enjoy fun rides, exciting shows, and amazing Christmas lights. Cost is $35 per student for a group ticket (students are welcome to use their Busch Gardens passes if they have one).

Dec 5 :: Guest Worship Artists

On December 5, E-41 from Liberty University will continue Christmas at Shores by leading us in worship at 9:15am and 11am. E-41 is a team of 7-8 musicians who utilize folk and bluegrass music to lead God’s people in musical worship. E-41 garners its name from Ephesians 4:1, where Paul encourages believers “to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.”

Dec 12 :: Christmas Worship & Music Celebration

On December 12, make plans now to join us in-person or online during our regular Sunday morning worship gatherings (9:15am and 11am) for a Christmas Worship & Music Celebration, led by Ben Saunders, Scott Butler, plus our own Atlantic Shores worship team and Christmas choir. Don't miss this special time of worship and songs of the Christmas season. Invite a friend or family.

Dec 12 :: Student Ministry Christmas Party

Join us at Sunday Night Students from 6-8pm in the Life Center for our annual Christmas party! Come out wearing your best, ugly sweater! Enjoy fellowship, food, games, and a message from Pastor Travis.

Dec 15 :: Winter Wonderland

Join Shores Kids on Wednesday, December 15 from 6:30-7:45 for Winter Wonderland! Bring the kids and enjoy an exciting night of hot chocolate, warm apple cider, cookies, bonfires, and games!

Dec 19 :: Pancakes and Pajamas

Join Shores Kids on Sunday, December 19 during the 9:15 and 11am hours for “Pancakes & Pajamas” for our Grade School kids in the Kids Thang Theatre and our 3’s & 4’s in the Cove. The kids will be encouraged to wear their Christmas PJ's as we have pancakes and watch Christmas movies.

Dec 19 :: Christmas Movie Night for Students

Students, join us for a Christmas Movie Night in the Life Center from 6-8pm and watch your favorite Christmas movie. Vote for your favorite Christmas movie each Sunday leading up to Might Night. We’ll have the works: Popcorn, soda, candy, and all the fun!

Dec 24 :: Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship

Grab the entire family and join us in-person or online for one of two identical, family-friendly celebrations of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ at 3pm and 5pm. Sing your favorite Christmas music, enjoy the reading of the Christmas story, and a special Christmas Eve message from Dr. Ron Jones.

Dec 26 :: Online Worship Only!

On Sunday, December 26, we will gather for worship online only (no in-person worship). Gather the family and return to for a variety of online ministry programming available via live stream throughout the day.

Christmas Food Pantry

Through our Food Pantry, we also provide donated food to hurting and hungry families and individuals in our church and community. The Atlantic Shores Food Pantry is open in the Life Center of the church every Wednesday 10am to 11am. To make a donation of non-perishable food, look for the Food Pantry receptacle in the church lobby.

Christmas Year-end Giving

This Christmas, we continue as a church family to reach FORWARD to what lies ahead. We encourage you to give as much of your FORWARD commitment by December 31 as possible. If you have not made a FORWARD commitment, we encourage you to do so. Also, during the month of December, the Christmas Tithe Challenge encourages all of us to "bring the whole tithe into the storehouse" (Malachi 3:10). Tithing means a tenth and is the biblical starting point in our giving.
