The Shores Kids Praise Team focuses on making God the center of our worship. We use singing and motions to celebrate Jesus and bring honor and glory to God. We discuss the meaning of the words to better understand the message of the song and what it says about God. In addition, there will be a time each practice for prayer and scripture memorization. Through the Children’s Praise Team, it’s our prayer that we would not perform for others, but that others would be brought to a place where they, too, can worship God. It is our highest aim to give God all the glory!

This apostolic letter speaks authoritatively about the truth of the incarnation – a message his doubting readers needed after hearing false teachers deny the full Divinity and humanity of Christ. It reaffirms the core of Christianity, saying that either we exhibit the sound doctrine, obedience, and love that characterizes all christians, or else we are not true Christians. When all the basics of faith are in operation, we not only know Joy but do you live a holy life and be assured of salvation, even though we are still far from perfect. This assurance comes especially as we find ourselves learning to “love one another“ as brothers and sisters in Christ.

A recent string of popular-level books written by the New Atheists have leveled the accusation that the God of the Old Testament is nothing but a bully, a murderer, and a cosmic child abuser. This viewpoint is even making inroads into the church. How are Christians to respond to such accusations? And how are we to reconcile the seemingly disconnected natures of God portrayed in the two testaments?

Understanding the New Testament is a challenging but exciting task. Our world is so different from that of the first century. The dress, travel, location, and custom of biblical characters are all foreign to us. Yet it is important to understand the context and the content of the New Testament if we are to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ and interpret the New Testament correctly.
