What COVID-19 precautions is Atlantic Shores taking?
According to guidelines prescribed by the CDC, we are taking every step of COVID-19 precaution to ensure the environment is sanitized and safe for you and your family. For example doors will be opened for you and every chair will be sanitized prior to use in the Worship Auditorium in accordance with CDC standards. Sanitization will also happen in Shores Kids, Shores Students, and Life Group spaces before you enter the ministry environment. Plus the building is throughly cleaned and sanitized during the week. Please know that by entering our ministry environments, you are assuming all risks for you and your family.
How do I plan to attend a worship gathering?
A cloth face covering or mask is required to enter the building. Please do your part to love your neighbor and ensure everyone's safety.
In order to practice physical distancing, we will have limited seating with adequate spacing in all ministry environments.
If you have had any of the following symptoms or conditions this week, please worship with us online.
- Compromised immune system
- Fever over 100 degrees
- Cough or sore throat
- Shortness of breath
- Contact with anyone (in the past 10 days) confirmed to have COVID-19
What happens when I arrive and depart?
When you arrive, members of our staff and guest services team will guide you through a contactless experience, seamlessly directing each step you take from the parking lot to your seat in the Worship Auditorium.
Access to the building is limited to two (2) entrances. Please enter through the main door on Kempsville Road or through the door nearest the Worship Auditorium on Centerville Turnpike.
At all times, please maintain a 6-foot safe distance as you walk single file through the building, into the Worship Auditorium, and to your seat. Keep a distance of three (3) empty seats between you and the person next to you, or between your family and the family next to you. Family members may sit together.
As people arrive, we will seat the Worship Auditorium from the front to the back. We will depart the Worship Auditorium from the back to the front. Please be patient and gracious with the arrival, departure, and seating process. This is new for all of us.
Access to restrooms is limited and for emergency purposes. Please make sure you and the members of your family are comfortable upon arrival.
