Shores at Home is our response to the current global crisis brought on by the Coronavirus. For the forseeable future, we are now ministering one hundred percent online. Below are the many ways for us to connect virtually as a church family.

Live Stream Worship Gatherings

We are pleased to offer a live stream broadcast of our weekly Sunday worship gathering at the following times.

  • Sunday at 9:15am, 11am, and 5pm
  • Monday at 7pm
  • Tuesday at 7pm

Enjoy being part of our online community, led by an online pastor, with prayer and chat features available during each broadcast. To get the most out of a live stream worship gathering, we encourage you give this time to the Lord in an undistracted way. Gather as a family or as a life group. Put aside other tasks. Focus your time and attention as you would when attending an in-person worship gathering.

Easter at Shores will happen via live stream as will our Good Friday Community Remembrance Service on April 10. Learn how to participate in a live stream Lord's Supper.

Pastor Ron's Video Devo

During the Coronavirus crisis, Pastor Ron plans to deliver, 2-3 times per week, a 5-minute devotional teaching from God's Word by video and post it to our social media platforms on Facebook and Instagram.

Shores Kids at Home

The Shores Kids team will be posting weekly video Bible teaching on Facebook and Instagram. Parents are encouraged to watch with their kids. As we complete the FORWARD series (life of Abraham) over the next two weeks (March 22 and 29), complete the Bring It Home family exercises in your FORWARD Guidebook. Click here for downloadable color sheets and more that go along with the weekly Gospel Project lessons.

Shores Students at Home

Gather with the Shores Students team LIVE on Instagram on Wednesdays at 2:00pm. Enjoy games, discussion, chat, and hangin' out online. Following the LIVE gathering, we will post our large group video Bible lesson for the week. Also, stay connected on Instagram because Pastor Travis and Melissa will be releasing a 5-minute devotional teaching from God's Word on Mondays and Fridays.

Rapid Response

If you need assistance during the coronavirus crisis, our rapid response team, led by our deacons, stands ready to serve by grocery shopping and delivery, assistance with technology so you can participate in the live stream worship gathering on Sundays, prayer, and more. Request rapid response. Of course, life groups are best suited for rapid response as they serve one another in community.

Life Groups

We encourage life groups to gather for prayer and Bible study online using your preferred video conference platform. Life group discussion questions for the FORWARD series are in the FORWARD Guidebook or here. If you want to get connected in a life group, learn more here and contact us.

FORWARD

FORWARD is a two-year initiative where we are trusting God to increase our collective generosity in order to accelerate our gospel engagement and disciple making. FORWARD focuses on campus renovation, continued ministry revitalization, and the expansion of our global ministries through church planting.

While at home, use your FORWARD Guidebook to access the prayer calendar, a weekly devotional written by Pastor Ron, Bring It Home family exercises, and Life Group discussion questions. Go to the FORWARD website.

We are staying on schedule with our FORWARD communication (including the FORWARD sermon series) and commitments. Please go here for a list of important dates and other links.

Something Good Radio

Something Good Radio is a daily outreach featuring the Bible teaching ministry of Dr. Ron Jones. Listen on demand at Something Good Radio or on one of these many podcast platforms: Spotify, iHeart, iTunes, Stitcher, Podbean, One Place, Google Home, Google Podcasts, and TuneIn.

In the Hampton Roads area, the half hour Bible teaching program airs daily on WWIP "The Word in Praise" 89.1 FM (M-F at 11:30am and Sundays at 7:00am) and on WPMH 100.1 FM (M-F at 11:30am, Saturdays at 12:00noon and 5:30pm, and Sundays at 2:30am, 9:00am, 1:30pm, and 9:00pm).

Discipleship Coaching

You believe in Jesus. Now what? Find out the answer to that question in Starting Point: A Disciple's First Steps. Dr Ron Jones developed this 7-week discipleship coaching experience to help you get started in your journey with Jesus and encourage your spiritual growth.

Starting Point was designed as an online discipleship coaching experience. Use your preferred video conference platform (ZOOM is Pastor Ron's choice) to hold online coaching sessions. Get started.

How Can We Pray for You?

We believe in the power of prayer. We also believe God loves you and cares about what concerns your heart, and we care, too. Go here to share a confidential prayer request with our prayer team.

Join us for a Day of Prayer & Fasting at Atlantic Shores on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. Start and end the day with a prayer and fasting video devo at 7:30am and 5:30pm led by Pastor Ron and posted on social media. Go here to learn more about the spiritual discipline of fasting.

Online Giving

Giving to the Lord at Atlantic Shores Baptist Shores is sacred, simple, and secure. It is an act of worship as much as anything else. Give a single gift, or schedule ongoing donations using your debit or credit card. Thank you for your faithfulness and generosity, especially during these challenging times. Make an online gift here, or you can mail your gift to the following address:

Food Pantry and Grocery Assistance

The closings of schools, workplaces, and organizations will have drastic implications for many. If you are in need of assistance with food, we invite you to visit our Food Pantry (located in the Life Center) and receive an emergency relief grocery bag. We also encourage donations to the Food Pantry at this time from our church family. The Food Pantry is currently open from 10:00am to 11:00am on Wednesdays.
