Sunshine, warm temperatures, beach umbrellas, and surfing. Summer is an exciting time of the year for the whole family to grow in your relationship with God. Check out all that's happening this summer at Atlantic Shores Baptist Church.

PAUL: Surprised by Grace

Gritty and graceful, Paul was a changed man whom God used to change the world. At great personal cost, Paul, also Saul of Tarsus, boldly testified to the resurrection of Jesus Christ wherever he traveled, carrying the gospel message to the ends of the earth until the Roman emperor, Nero, martyred him in Rome. Focusing on Acts 13-28, Dr. Ron Jones invites us to travel with the Apostle Paul on his missionary journeys, leaving us surprised by God’s grace.

Beach Baptisms

At Atlantic Shores Baptist Church, baptism is a celebration and illustration of the life of Christ in us. It’s also the first step of obedience a new believer takes in his or her relationship with Jesus. We practice believer’s baptism by immersion, following Jesus’s example as a way of going public with our faith (Matthew 3:13-17). Our next beach baptism happens on Sunday, July 16 at 4pm at Sandbridge Beach (Little Island Park). If you would like to be baptized, please contact us.

Vision Night

Join Pastor Ron and the Atlantic Shores team for Vision Night on Sunday, June 25 at 6pm. Celebrate all that God has done for, in, and through us this last year, and look forward to the upcoming ministry year.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School happens June 19-22, from 9:00am to 12:00pm, for all grade schoolers who have completed K-5th grade. Our theme is Twist & Turns: Following Jesus Changes the Game.

Women's Summer Bible Study

Every Saturday morning at 7:30am in June, join us at Oak Grove Park in Chesapeake for a brief devotion led by Deborah Lawson and then walk/run the 1.5 mile trail.  Meet near the Parking Lot at 593 Byron St in Chesapeake. Contact her@atlanticshores.org with questions!

With the approval of the elder body, Pastor Ron will be on sabbatical August 7 to September 30, 2023.
