Welcome to Shores Student Ministry, where middle and high school students from all over Hampton Roads experience God in a culturally relevant way on their level. We gather at Atlantic Shores for dynamic worship, fellowship and relevant teaching from God's Word. It is our goal to develop an environment where students feel accepted and loved, and desire to learn more about God.
Sunday Night Students
Middle and high school students gather every Sunday night during the school year (Sept - May) from 6pm to 8pm in the Life Center. Enjoy fun, games, worship, and a lesson from our Student Pastor, Travis Bryant. Then, we break into age and gender-specific groups for lesson-specific discussion and prayer. This is a great time of discipleship for grades 6-12.
Wednesday Night Students (AWANA)
Middle and high school students gather on Wednesday nights (Sept - May) from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the Life Center for AWANA.
For over six decades, the Lord has used the ministry of AWANA to reach kids, equip leaders, and change the world. Atlantic Shores Baptist Church is pleased to partner with AWANA by offering this discipleship experience as part of our overall Family Ministries. Wednesdays at AWANA will be your child's favorite night of the week as he or she enjoys exciting worship, games, stories, and Bible memorization.
- Puggles (ages 2 to 3)
- Cubbies (ages 3 to 5)
- Sparks (kindergarten to 2nd grade)
- T&T (3rd grade to 5th grade)
- Journey (6th grade to 9th grade)
We encourage our 10th through 12th graders to serve as AWANA volunteers. No matter the age, we are excited for how AWANA will encourage your child to grow in his or her relationship with God.
Sunday Morning Worship and Serve
We encourage middle and high school students to attend either our 9:15am or 11:00am worship gathering with their family or other students, and then serve the second hour. For those who choose to serve on one of our ministry teams, please review our Soul Care Policy and register to serve by filling out this form and turning it in, to the church office.
