Welcome to Shores Student Ministry, where middle and high school students from all over Hampton Roads experience God in a culturally relevant way on their level. We gather at Atlantic Shores for dynamic worship, fellowship and relevant teaching from God's Word. It is our goal to develop an environment where students feel accepted and loved, and desire to learn more about God.
Sunday Night Students
Middle and high school age students gather every Sunday night during the school year from 6pm to 8pm in the Life Center. Enjoy fun, games, worship, and a sermon-based (Route 66) lesson from our Student Pastor, Travis Bryant. Then, we break into age and gender-specific groups for discussion and prayer. This is a great time of discipleship for grades 6-12.
Wednesday Night Students
Middle and high school students gather on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm to 7:45pm in the Life Center for "Big Questions, Hard Truths: Why We Believe What We Believe." How do students hold firm to biblical convictions and still engage in humble dialogue with the culture around them? Sean McDowell, a leading apologetics and worldview author, joined with AwanaYM to produce a new high school apologetics study that helps students know why we believe what we believe. Sunday Morning Worship and Serve
We encourage middle and high school students to attend either our 9:15am or 11:00am worship gathering with their family or other students, and then serve the second hour. For those who choose to serve on one of our ministry teams, please review our Soul Care Policy.
